Waste Heat Boiler
As part of a distribution center expansion, CTS Builders provided design and construction documents for the installation of a waste heat boiler.

The exhaust from five fryers and seven ovens (600 ° F – 1,200 ° F) is collected and fed to a 5,000 lbs/hr heat recovery steam generator (HRSG) to produce steam and operate in conjunction with the main plant boiler. Design of the system included investigation of supplemental heat recovery by replacing double/triple wall stacks with insulated stacks, and the addition of a duct burner to the HRSG to produce supplemental steam when main boiler plant is not operating.
