Spin Test Facility

Facility included loading area with bridge crane, testing area featuring movable vacuum chamber with 200 HP driver, conference room, control room, and mechanical and laydown spaces to support high speed testing and balancing of rotation equipment.
The facility consists of a pre-engineered single-story 15,000 sq ft structure with an interior clear height of approximately 30 ft and overhead crane with 60 ft clear span was constructed. Major equipment on this project included an oil bearing rig, oil free bearing rig, two endurance rigs and gear box test rig. It also included a mezzanine for mechanical equipment and 12 ft 6 in. deep pit. CTS Builders provided conceptual through final engineering, including final civil site, utility, and floor plans; technical specifications; structural sections; and mezzanine structural layout. CTS also assisted with process utilities plan; fire protection specification; power distribution plan; interior and exterior lighting plans; and fire alarm/security system.
